A quarter of Florence, Italy, sales of leather to reduce 21.5%

According to the Italian "European Qiao Bao" compiled reports, the world famous leather industry in Florence, Italy, but now there is a crisis of this characteristic industry. Statistics from relevant agencies show that only about one-third of leather companies are actually run by Italians and 55% are owned by Chinese. The Federation of Handicrafts held a seminar on the development of the leather industry in Florence. The theme of the seminar was "Funding, Brand Image and Power, Made in Italy". Data show that in the first quarter of 2009, Florence leather sales decreased by 21.5%. In 2009 FIRENZE city and province has a total of 2,600 leather enterprises, of which 52.5% of the enterprises are located in PIANAFIORENTINA and SCANDICI. In both regions, 67% of the leather enterprises are managed by immigrants, of which 55% are Chinese.
