Vietnam's textile exports exceed US$15 billion

According to Vietnam’s official statistics, Vietnam’s exports of textile and clothing products from January to September were approximately US$10 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7%, and it is expected that the annual export volume will exceed the US$15 billion mark.

Statistics show that the United States, the largest market for exports of textile and clothing products in the United States, has shown positive signs; if Japan can maintain its growth rate of 20% in September, it will exceed the EU as the second largest export market for textile and garments in Vietnam. In addition, the export value of Vietnam's textile and clothing products to Argentina, Chile, Angola, Panama, and Australia also showed a momentum of growth. However, analysts believe that in 2012 Vietnam's textile and clothing products may have a 3% drop in exports to the EU market.
